Masonic symbol of GMail.

Gmail is a free, advertising-supported email service provided by Google.

When creating a Gmail account, users are asked to provide a recovery email address—to allow them to reset their password if they have forgotten it, or if their account is hacked. In some countries, such as the United States, the United Kingdom and India, Google may also require one-time use of a mobile phone number to send an account validation code by SMS text messaging or voice message when creating a new account.

Yes, the FBI and CIA can read your email.

‘Terrorists love Gmail’: Former CIA director Michael Hayden

his is a story by the NYDailyNews, I’m simply going to posts some excerpts without any commentary: How do global terrorists keep in touch on the Internet? They use Gmail, just like a lot of other people on the planet. Michael Hayden, former director of both the CIA and the National Security Agency, said the free email service offered by Google is the most popular communication method among radical insurgents across the world. “Gmail is the preferred Internet service provider of terrorists..

Former NSA and CIA director says terrorists love using Gmail

Former U.S. General and CIA director David Petraeus resigned last week after admitting to an affair, during which he used a well-known Gmail trick to help cover his tracks.

Tongue in cheek, of course, but still a valid question. The man tasked with overseeing the most potent spy organization in the world was betrayed by... Gmail?

Fractals and the Hidden Dimension - Excellent Documentary.

You may not know it, but fractals, like the air you breathe, are all around you. Their irregular, repeating shapes are found in cloud formations and tree limbs, in stalks of broccoli and craggy mountain ranges, even in the rhythm of the human heart. In this film, NOVA takes viewers on a fascinating quest with a group of maverick mathematicians determined to decipher the rules that govern fractal geometry.

For centuries, fractal-like irregular shapes were considered beyond the boundaries of mathematical understanding. Now, mathematicians have finally begun mapping this uncharted territory. Their remarkable findings are deepening our understanding of nature and stimulating a new wave of scientific, medical, and artistic innovation stretching from the ecology of the rain forest to fashion design. The documentary highlights a host of filmmakers, fashion designers, physicians, and researchers who are using fractal geometry to innovate and inspire.

Argentina's Economic Collapse - Memory of Plunder.

Documentary on the events that led to the economic collapse of Argentina in 2001 which wiped out the middle class and raised the level of poverty to 57.5%. Central to the collapse was the implementation of neo-liberal policies which enabled the swindle of billions of dollars by foreign banks and corporations. Many of Argentina's assets and resources were shamefully plundered. Its financial system was even used for money laundering by Citibank, Credit Suisse, and JP Morgan. The net result was massive wealth transfers and the impoverishment of society which culminated in many deaths due to oppression and malnutrition. Official name: Memoria del Saqueo by Fernando Solanas 2003.

Orwell Rolls Over In His Grave - Documentary - The Self-Censorship of Media.

Director Robert Kane Pappas' "Orwell Rolls Over In His Grave" is the consummate critical examination of the Fourth Estate, once the bastion of American democracy. Asking whether America has entered an Orwellian world of doublespeak where outright lies can pass for the truth, Pappas explores what the media doesn't like to talk about: itself.

Meticulously tracing the process by which media has distorted and often dismissed actual news events, Pappas presents a riveting and eloquent mix of media professionals and leading intellectual voices on the media.

Among the cast of characters in "Orwell Rolls Over In His Grave" are Charles Lewis, director of the Center for Public Integrity, Vincent Bugliosi, former L.A. prosecutor and legal scholar, film director and author Michael Moore, Rep. Bernie Sanders, Danny Schecter, author and former producer for ABC and CNN, and Tony Benn, former member of the British Parliament.

"Orwell Rolls Over In His Grave" expresses ideas that will never be heard in mainstream media. From Globalvision's Danny Schecter: "We falsely think of our country as a democracy when it has evolved into a `mediacracy', where a media that is supposed to check political abuse is part of the political abuse." New York University media professor Mark Crispin Miller says, "These commercial entities now vie with the government for control over our lives. They are not a healthy counterweight to government."

Joseph Goebbels, former head of Nazi propaganda, said that what you want in a media system- he meant the Nazi media system - is to present the ostensible diversity that conceals an actual uniformity. From the very size of the media monopolies and how they got that way to who decides what gets on the air and what doesn't, "Orwell Rolls Over In His Grave" moves through a troubling list of questions and news stories that go unanswered and unreported in the mainstream media.

Are Americans being given the information a democracy needs to survive or have they been electronically lobotomized? Has the frenzy for media consolidation led to a dangerous irony where, in an era of more news sources, the majority of the population has actually become less informed? Orwell Rolls Over In His Grave reminds us that 1984 is no longer a date in the future.

The Israel Lobby - The Danger and Deceit - Interesting Documentary

The United States supports Israel in a variety of ways. We give them all sorts of military and economic support, roughly 3 billion dollars a year. Israel, despite the fact, it is a relatively rich country, receives more foreign aid than any other other country in the world.

For many years now the American foreign policy has been characterized by the strong tie between the United States and Israel. Does the United States in fact keep Israel on its feet? And how long will it continue to do so? In March 2006 the American political scientists John Mearsheimer (University of Chicago) and Steve Walt (Harvard) published the controversial article 'The Israel Lobby and US foreign policy'. In it they state that it is not, or no longer, expedient for the US to support and protect present-day Israel.

The documentary sheds light on both parties involved in the discussion: those who wish to maintain the strong tie between the US and Israel, and those who were critical of it and not infrequently became 'victims' of the lobby.

The question arises to what extend the pro-Israel lobby ultimately determines the military and political importance of Israel itself. Colonel Lawrence Wilkerson (Colin Powell's former chief-of-staff) explains how the lobby's influence affects the decision-making structure in the White House.

With political scientist John Mearsheimer, neocon Richard Perle, lobby organization AIPAC, televangelist John Hagee, historian Tony Judt, Human Rights Watch director Kenneth Roth, colonel Lawrence Wilkerson, Democrat Earl Hilliard, Israeli peace negotiator Daniel Levy and investigative journalist Michael Massing.

The book describes the lobby as a "loose coalition of individuals and organizations who actively work to steer U.S. foreign policy in a pro-Israel direction".The book "focuses primarily on the lobby's influence on U.S. foreign policy and its negative effect on American interests".The authors also argue that "the lobby's impact has been unintentionally harmful to Israel as well".

The Tobacco Conspiracy - Death Industries.

In 1953 the tobacco companies, tired of being at war with each other,  met to form a common front. Although they knew then that 94 percent of lung cancer deaths were among smokers they issued “The Frank Statement” in which they denied that smoking causes cancer. This is described as the biggest public relations campaign in all history. They promised that if cigarettes proved dangerous they would be pulled off the market. While this was a clear lie there was no political opposition until the 1990s. At a hearing organized by 46 American states in 1998 each of the seven tobacco company executives who were called to testify deny that nicotine is addictive. The resolution was that they would pay 201 billion dollars to avoid a verdict. They were also forbidden to market to children (in the United States) and to make available to the public all of their documents. No documents could be destroyed until 2008. While they released millions of pages of useless information dogged research unearthed some interesting admissions: “Nicotine is addictive. We are in the business of selling an addictive drug.”

A history of the tobacco industry’s lies and scams. From the US in 1953 to Africa today, the controversy between individual responsibility and corporate greed is portrayed in a lucid, undaunted manner.

"From scientific frauds to working with organized crime", tobacco companies show their hidden agenda more clearly than ever in this theatrically released documentary.
